About

My name is Belinda Whyte and I am the Resource Teacher of Literacy for 16 schools in a small town in New Zealand. I have worked as a teacher for almost ten years, across all year levels. My first love is literacy and I particularly enjoy working with students to foster a love of reading and writing.

That’s the official bit over…

I am writing this blog on a personal and a professional level. It is my learning blog. As we all know, learning is for always, not just for school or university. As Michelangelo famously said at 87 years of age, I am still learning.

Due to the nature of learning, some of the things I say on here may change over time. It is a progression (towards what, I’m not exactly sure). I can’t promise I am right all the time, but I just try to say what I think and what I feel about things with the information I have available to me.

Thanks for coming along on the journey.
